OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP SIGNATORY

We are delighted and pleased to announce that Polimak is now one of the companies that are signatories to the European Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) programme which is aimed at en-hancing awareness, promoting best practices, and providing guidance and tools to support com-panies from the plastics value chain in the implementation of the necessary pellet loss prevention measures.

The littering of plastics has been a major concern for years now, because of its significant contri-bution to environmental pollution which leads to global warming. The OCS is simply designed to prevent the loss of plastic granules such as pellets, flakes, and powders during handling by the var-ious entities in the plastics value chain and their release into the environment. One of the ways to prevent or reduce plastic littering (plastic granules) is by devising effective pellet containment measures. Because of our code of business conduct and an aim that is directed towards designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art equipment targeted at providing quality performance, we be-lieve that we will be able to positively contribute to the prevention of plastic granule loss during different handling processes by providing effective containment equipment. Polimak ensures that the fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, environmental safety, and anti-corruption are met. Hence, it is certain that, as a signatory and a new member of the OCS programme, we are determined to continue providing equipment that will aid with the preven-tion of environmental pollution.
